How to control blood sugar

While there are many diets to choose from, regulating blood sugar is the best way to lose weight and also regain your energy levels. By stabilizing blood sugar, one is able to minimize the amount of insulin being secreted in the body, which inhibits the storage of body fat. When you raise your blood sugar to high levels  you will experience high levels of energy but shortly after feel very tired “what goes up must come down”; however, if feed your body low glycemic foods throughout the day approximately every two to three hours you will turn your body into a fat burning machine.

When insulin and blood sugar levels are high, the body will be in a “fat-storing” mode. The muscles only have a certain capacity to take in glucose/sugar/carbohydrate, and then that capacity is reached, the excess glucose/sugar/carbohydrate is carried to the liver where triglycerides (storage form of fat) is pumped out. On the other hand, when blood sugar levels fall too low, however, the body will also be inclined to store fat because it thinks it is being starved. Finding the happy medium is where weight loss is achieved.
